This is What Our Learners Are Saying......
Dignity at Work training - Very well presented. Learnt things that I didn’t know before. (I) will use these skills when I’m next in the workplace
Dignity at Work training - Thought provoking and interesting topics. Really enjoyed the course and the interaction between trainers and learners
Customer Service course – I liked that the trainers seemed genuinely interested in the topic and about our workplace. They also listened to everyone’s views and made everyone feel comfortable to express their views
Leading the Team (Leadership training) – I appreciate the opportunity to ask questions and voice opinions (during training session). I found the session was a combination of confirming my current management practices and highlighting ways to evolve / improve further. Thanks
About Lumar Training
Harry – Served with Merseyside Police from 1981 – September 2013. (32 years). Throughout this career, he carried out a wide range of policing roles, patrolling Merseyside neighbourhoods on foot and mobile duties. Several specialist postings also saw him performing duties on horseback, as well as performing tactical duties throughout all areas of Merseyside.
Harry took this vast operational experience into the training arena, delivering the Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP) to newly recruited student officers at Merseyside Police Academy. He returned to frontline policing as a response officer in Liverpool South, in the spring of 2011, maintaining his operational skills. A year later, Harry took his currency of professional practice back into the Training Academy where he worked alongside Carol Marsh in developing a streamlined IPLDP programme to meet the changing needs of the National Police Training Curriculum.
Carol is a highly experienced professional of over 30 years, working within both private and public sectors. Her career began in the manufacturing industry where she quickly progressed into a range of leadership and management positions.
In early 2002 Carol made a conscious change in career, which saw her move to Merseyside Police in the Force Control Room. In 2009, following a period in HR, she successfully achieved her goal as a Training Officer within the Training Academy. As part of the Neighbourhood Development Team, Carol designed and delivered a curriculum of training to Neighbourhood Police officers and PCSO’s. A move to the Professional Development Faculty followed, where her training portfolio covered a wide curriculum of Diversity subjects and Leadership Programmes which she delivered to all ranks of Police Officers and Police Staff. Carol then worked alongside Harry Lunt in delivering the IPLDP programme to meet the changing needs of the National Police Training Curriculum.
Carol and Harry continued to successfully develop and deliver the current Initial Police Learning and Development Programme to newly recruited student officers at Merseyside Police (including Special Constabulary students) until they left the organisation to form their own company, Lumar Training Limited.
Our experienced staff have built a reputation of total professionalism, integrity, dedication and reliability. We will continue to develop these core values for the benefit of all our stakeholders.
